Brasserie McAuslan, Montreal, Quebec

  • 5%ABV
  • Ingredients include: Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove, and pumpkin.
  • Dark golden, amber to orange colour. Translucent, with a very light, almost negligible head.
  • Very spicy aroma; Nutmeg and cloves come through the strongest with last-minute hints of cinnamon and just a touch of pumpkin and apple.
  • This truly smells like fresh pumpkin pie. Very reminiscent of autumn.
  • The flavour is of brown sugar, caramel, and warm spices. Just a touch of pumpkin. This beer differs from other pumpkin beers we have sampled, that have come up rather weak in the spices department.
  • Medium body mouthfeel, with a nice finish in which an every so slight bitterness touches the tongue. The spice and brown sugar flavour seemed to linger in my mouth for hours.
  • This has been my personal favorite pumpkin beer of the season. More on the spice and less on the pumpkin. Very tasty fall treat!
