Garrison Brewing Co., Halifax, Nova Scotia

  • 6.3% ABV, 21 IBU’s
  • All natural ale, brewed with Nova Scotia maple syrup
  • Deep amber with ripples of red throughout
  • Pours a great thick, foamy khaki coloured head
  • The aroma is breath-taking. Sweet maple syrup, brown sugar and bready notes. This is an aroma that should bring warm fuzzy feelings inside most Canadians.
  • The flavour is surprisingly not as sweet as the aroma would lead on, although there is no mistaking that this is a maple beer.
  • This would be an excellent dessert beer, or for those who are more adventurous, try it with a short stack of pancakes for breakfast on a day off….or for the even more adventurous try substituting this maple ale for water in your pancake recipe. Let me know how it tastes!
  • Overall this is an excellent maple beer, much less sweet, and with more depth than others I have tried in the past. Drink this one, if you enjoy maple syrup and beer, you won’t be disappointed!
